Meeting was called to order by president Nora Furey at 2:50pm.

Treasurer’s Report: Remaining balance for the summer/fall club exp. is $1,360
Membership Report As of July 1, 2009 there are 223 members.
There was a brief discussion about club members who do not reside in Rossmoor.Fact was mentioned that they only make up about 5% of the membership and present no problem.Suggestion was made that perhaps those who live outside Rossmoor should not have 1st preference on safaris.No decision was reached.
Record keeping of hike descriptions and mileage was brought up eg. Black Book compiled by Barbara Hallmeyer.It was suggested that we keep a record of all hikes for the club.
Tony Smith is hosting a mini safari Sept. 3-7 at the Alpine Club, Echo Summit.Meals will be potluck. For more details, contact Tony Smith at 933-7444
